JS1 Software processes WhatsApp message data on behalf of our business clients, who use our software to message their own customers. This page explains how to have that data, or any other personal data we hold about you, deleted.

How to request deletion

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request" and include:

• The phone number (with country code) or email address whose data you want deleted.
• If you know it, the name of the business that messaged you.

We may ask you to confirm that the phone number or email address is yours before we delete anything.

What we delete

We delete the matching WhatsApp messages, their attached files, and the delivery records linked to that phone number. We confirm by email once it is done, within 30 days of your request. Because we act for our business clients, we may tell the client concerned that the request was made.

Automatic deletion

Whatever you do, WhatsApp messages and their files are deleted automatically after 90 days, and technical logs of incoming WhatsApp events after 14 days.

Business clients

A business client can ask us to delete its whole account, including all stored messages, by writing to the same address from its registered email.
